Interview System
Hybrid Mode (Planned)
Partial spine + adaptive fill — a new interview style under design.
Status: Design phase — decided by Dr. Rigos on 2026-04-13
Concept
Hybrid mode combines spine and adaptive:
- Employer defines a partial question spine (e.g., 3 mandatory questions)
- AI fills the remaining slots with adaptive questions based on competency anchors
- The split ratio is configurable by the employer
Why Hybrid?
- Employers want consistency on key questions (e.g., always ask about leadership experience)
- But also want the depth and natural flow of adaptive interviewing for other competencies
- Satisfies both standardization and adaptation needs
Design Questions (Open)
- How does the scorer handle a mixed transcript? (Same as today — it scores against anchors regardless)
- Does the spine portion need to come first, or can it interleave?
- How does coverage tracking work when some competencies have assigned questions and others don't?
Your Input Needed
The hybrid mode design is waiting for your review of the adaptive rubric first — hybrid inherits adaptive's question generation and probing rules for the non-spine portion.
